Loughborough Town of Sanctuary welcomes the up to 200 people who are required to report at the Home Office Immigration Reporting Centre in Loughborough each day.  A few thousand people travel from across the East Midlands to Loughborough to report, perhaps weekly, fortnightly or less frequently.

We want them to feel welcomed when they visit Loughborough so we meet and greet people outside the Reporting Centre, offer information about sources of help in Leicester, Derby and Nottingham and offer vouchers for food and drink. We are also actively involved in providing support for asylum-seekers living in Loughborough in collaboration with other local volunteer and church groups, including providing support  on clothing provision, English language support and help on some of the daily practical problems which they face. We have a partnership with John Storer House who provide the food and drink.

Loughborough Town of Sanctuary applies for grants and raises money from donations to provide food and drink.
